Why work with a buyer's agent?
Buying a home may be the most substantial and complex transaction you ever undertake. It’s essential to learn more about the process and seek out qualified assistance.
I enjoy working with buyers because buying a new house represents a new chapter in people’s lives and it’s great to be a part of that. Whether you are buying your first home, your fifth home, or an investment property, it’s always exciting to get the keys to “your” new house. I approach my role as a consultant with the objective of educating my clients so they feel comfortable with their offer. After the offer is accepted I stay connected with them to ensure that everything runs smoothly and they understand what is happening. There is so much activity after the offer is accepted that it’s important we continue communicating until title confirms the property has recorded.
A buyer’s agent has the responsibility to represent your interest in the transaction. The seller has someone looking out for their best interest, trying to negotiate the best deal for their client. You should have professional representation doing the same for you.
A good agent will make the home buying process seem simple and stress free. The reality is that purchasing a home involves contracts, disclosures, deadlines, negotiations, inspections, appraisals, title & escrow, lenders, and a multitude of unexpected hurdles. We’ll take the time to guide you through the process, communicate status, answer your questions, and keep the transaction running smoothly.
The Value of a Broker
Buying and selling homes is an emotional process. As REALTORS® we can help facilitate the transaction while acting as the buffer between buyers and sellers. Inevitably, something will happen during the transaction that upsets someone and it’s always easier to allow your agent to handle the situation. A good agent will maintain their professionalism in working to achieve their client’s goal of buying or selling.
Market Research and Understanding
We are in the market on a daily basis and have our finger on the pulse of what’s happening. News outlets report on what has happened in the past rather than what is happening today. We have the experience, know the market, the comps, the details of specific transactions and can share that knowledge with our buyers so they feel confident writing a successful offer.
Access to Properties
In a competitive market when homes are selling quickly it is critical that you have relevant and up to date information on what properties are available that may be right for you. We’ll keep you updated with new activity and ensure that we’re available to show them to you in a time frame that works for you.
We’ll Be Proactive
Many buyer's agents will simply react to the new listings on the MLS. I prefer to take a proactive approach to finding you the right home. Tell me what you want and I'll do my best to go find it, regardless of whether or not it’s listed in the MLS.
Our Services Are Free
As a buyer’s agent our fees are paid by the seller through escrow, giving you free access to valuable professional guidance and representation.
